Catharine Hall-Schor
Has performed as a professional musician in New York city for many years. In 1990 she recieved a degree in anthropology from Columbia University. She also co-directs with artist Adrian Sweeney, the North Bennington Children's Shakespeare Theatre. Together they produce a yearly performance of one of Shakespeare's plays with children grades three through eight.
Her involvement with Shakespeare developed through her love of music. "A soliloquy is really an aria without the melody. The use of phrasing dynamics and expression are absolutely comparable. I continually draw on my experiences as a musician when preparing children for these performances."
Mike Sanger
Mike Sanger is a descendant of the great English circus impresario, “Lord” George Sanger. Mike trained as an equestrian, but after his father’s death, took over his father’s act, Old Regnas, that featured dogs and a donkey who seemed to operate on their own to audience’s delight. Mike transformed the act into its present form. He and his wife Pascale have presented it to great acclaim throughout Europe and in the United States. The act was honored at the Monte Carlo Circus Festival.
Stephen Seitz
Stephen Seitz is a well-known journalist and author based in Springfield, Vermont. His reporting and interviews have appeared in several northern New-England newspapers, and he is the author of an audio-book Getting Started in Small Business Advertising. Sherlock Holmes and the Plague of Dracula is his first novel.
Robert Sugarman
Robert Sugarman is an author and playwright. His plays have been performed across the country. His book, Circus for Everyone: Circus Learning Around the World was the first to chronicle the many training programs, amateur and professional, child and adult that developed in recent years. His book Performing Shakespeare: A Way to Learn examines how young people's lives and their ability to learn is enriched by participation in meaningful Shakespeare programs. Mr. Sugarman has taught at the State University of New York/Albany, Bennington College, Southern Vermont College, and Cazenovia College. He has directed plays in many venues. He was a member of the Playwrights Unit at the Actors Studio in New York City and worked with director Joan Littlewood in London. He is chair of the Circus Area at the Popular Culture Association and has presented papers at the Circus Historical Society.
