Submission Guidlines
We accept unsolicited works, but prefer to receive a query first that is based on a completed, or almost completed, manuscript. A query should include:
- A cover letter with the author’s biographical information, particualrly information relevant to the manuscript.
- One or two sample chapters and an outline of the manuscript.
- A resume or CV.
- A description of the book’s target audience.
- A consideration of competitive books.
- SASE sufficient for the return of your query materials.
- Any additional information you consider relevant and helpful to our consideration of your query.
- Mountainside Press invites submissions for its new Popular Culture Mystery Series. Protagonists should be characters – fictional or historic – drawn from Popular Culture.
